While he shmoozes, I am here in the District, all the while pretending to be at the Wynn and living vicariously through the CSI marathon on Spike. It's Day 3, by the way. IN TOWN

Last week, my dad asked if I would be interested in going to a Jonas Brothers concert with my two teenage sisters. My answer, naturally, was an expletive-censored "...YES! YES! YES!" Talking to my 13 year old sister Madeleine last night, I asked, "Are you surprised I'm so excited about this show?"

"Not really at all," she replied. What can I say? I'm a sucker for sugary pop music and well-dressed 19 year old boys with long hair and bowties.

But my excitement has turned into a woeful funk, as I sit here at the temporary Farinelli's headquarters in Southwest DC (and not at Nissan Pavilion with my little ones), restlessly waiting for the UPS delivery driver to arrive with an infinite amount of A.P.C. jeans.

So I guess I won't be leaving my boyfriend for a Jonas anytime soon, but at least you all will be looking fancy from the waist down. You owe me.

AU NATURALE

EAT UP

We're in the midst of DC Restaurant Week, which I was completely unaware of until last night. Too much time in Waldorf, not enough time in the District. I went to La Tasca for Spanish meatballs and blueberry sangria but was surprised to learn I almost missed my chance to take part in the event. Some of the participating restaurants extend the prix fixe menu beyond the announced dates (some for 2 weeks, some for the whole month!), so you might be able to dine after the weekend and still find an amazing deal. Lunch is $20.08 and dinner is $35.08, so if there's a pricey place you've been dying to try, now is the perfect time to give it a go.

MAD LIBS

DNR is a weekly publication for fashion retailers, manufacturers and executives. Highly regarded in this industry, it focuses on news and trends within the men's fashion community. This week, DNR released its list of the Denim Dozen: the top 12 denim retailers in the US. It mentions a store that Farinelli's owner Mauro Farinelli was recently owner of as well, until parting ways from the company last month. It mentions some amazing stores, including a few I was unfamiliar with. I'll definitely be checking out these shops soon. It's a great article, especially if you substitute the name mentioned in the article with the name 'Mauro.'

I recently picked up a pair of Nudie Tight Long Johns in Rinse. They look a lot like the pair to the left.

I complained to my friend Mike that I currently do not have any dry jeans to break in. He showed me this same pair that someone had broken in on mynudies.com. If you haven't visited the site before, I highly recommend browsing some of the dopest Nudies you will ever see.
